In today’s political landscape, it’s easy for one-party rule to dominate without real checks and balances. This is precisely the situation we’re facing in the New York State Assembly, where the current supermajority has led to a significant imbalance in our government. It’s more important than ever to break this supermajority and restore a fair, balanced approach that represents the true voice of the people—including the needs and concerns of our district.
As a candidate for the New York State Assembly, I’m committed to bringing common sense back to Albany. When one party holds such overwhelming power, our communities and families end up paying the price. We see decisions made without adequate debate or opposition, policies pushed through without fully considering the impact on our middle- and working-class families, and a government that too often feels out of touch with the real issues we face every day.
This supermajority is not just a numbers game—it affects everything from the policies passed to the ability of any legislator to challenge bills that don’t serve our community. Without a voice like ours in Albany, we’re left with decisions that do more harm than good. Right now, laws are being pushed forward that increase taxes, fund programs that don’t prioritize the needs of veterans, seniors, and hard-working families, and even compromise our safety by reducing accountability and undermining law enforcement.
Breaking the supermajority means bringing back a government that listens to all voices. It means putting a check on one-sided policies that ignore the unique needs of communities like ours. By breaking the supermajority, we’ll ensure that each vote, each law, and each policy has the proper balance of debate and oversight, leading to decisions that better reflect what’s best for everyone—not just one agenda.
Our district needs a voice in Albany, one that stands for safety, affordability, and opportunity. Together, we can put an end to this unchecked power and restore the balance our state so desperately needs. This election is about more than a single seat; it’s about fighting for a better future for every New Yorker who deserves a voice. We need representatives who are willing to stand up and say, “Enough is enough.” It’s time to make sure Albany reflects the values and priorities of all of us.
If we’re serious about change, then we must start by breaking the supermajority. Let’s bring balance back to New York and create a brighter future—one where every voice is heard, and every community is represented.
